Lonely Road

I grew up in the country where we all work so hard
We take care of our families and try to be a part
Of the world with many wonders we all dream about

But only a few of us find their way out
I’m driving down to Nashville to find out who I am
I’m chasing down a dream that lives inside this man
And somewhere along the way I think of all I hope
Somewhere down this lonesome lonely road

I wonder will I ever meet the man I want to be
Will there be something special waiting just for me
Will there ever be a future crawling out my past
I know as long as I keep dreaming my hope will always last

I’m driving down to Nashville to find out who I am
I’m chasing down a dream that lives inside this man
And somewhere along the way I think of all I hope
Somewhere down this lonesome lonely road
Somewhere down this lonesome lonely road
